Each spring has its own fabric pocket making them able to respond on an individual basis. Pocket sprung mattresses are much better than the conventional open coil mattresses as they are better at supporting the shape of your body in a more natural way. MATTRESS TYPE: POCKET SPRUNG Includes 1500 Pocket Springs in a 5ft bed. Each spring is encased in its own individual fabric pocket and hand stitched within the mattress core. This enables the springs to work independently, giving the highest level of support you need and preventing any pressure points on your body. MATTRESS FILLINGS: LAYERS OF WOOL Wool is soft, elastic and resilient and acts as your own personal climate control, adjusting automatically to your body temperature. Wool is also extremely durable and is naturally anti-microbial, adding comfort and extra luxury to the sleeping environment. LUXURIOUS FILLINGS: A mixture of Natural and Manmade Fibres such as cottons, cashmere, anti-allergenic wool and silk in conjunction with a premium grade polyester wadding. Each fibre is in the shape of a coil spring which gives a deep, luxurious feel. MATTRESS COVERS: VISCOSE COTTON DAMASK FABRIC This is a High Quality Woven Fabric that will be on the majority of mattresses and is made using natural cottons. It enhances the feel of the mattress and is a very durable fabric. SIDE SIMULATED HAND STITCHED 3 Rows of Hand Side Stitching is carried out by a craftsman who individually stitches the side of the mattress, providing a more robust and durable mattress than a standard pocket sprung mattress. MATTRESS SURFACE: WOOL TUFTED Tufts are used in mattress production for two reasons. Firstly, in the production of pocket sprung beds, they are used to hold the fillings and spring unit in place to prolong the life of the mattress. Secondly, tufts are used in the production of firm mattresses to provide pre-tension to the fillings and spring unit for a firmer bed.
